Sky's Eye View
An example map
The winner of our competition to win a GPS unit - Mr. I Reed's giant duck. Bigger version.

Sky's Eye View uses a handheld Global Positioning System (GPS) device to record your movements within the Granada Arboretum. Your movements are then transformed into art by displaying them on a map of the arboretum.

Sky's Eye View ran as day workshops for postgraduate students and postdoctoral researchers within the University of Manchester, with weekend workshops for visitors on 19th and 20th July 2008, and 16th and 17th August 2008. Jeremy Wood, a GPS artist, was our resident artist on these weekends. We hope to be able to run Sky's Eye View again during 2009.
