My research
My research covers a wide-range of topics in observational
astrophysics, with a general underlying theme: the characterisation of CMB
foregrounds. I'm involved in several world-leading CMB experiments
(Planck, QUIET, QUIJOTE, CLOVER) and dedicated foreground surveys
(CBASS, KuBE, COFE, QUIJOTE).
My list of research topics include:-
- CMB experiments - construction, calibration, data analysis.
- Radio interferometry.
- Interstellar medium.
- Radiation mechanisms in the radio through to the far infrared
- Synchrotron emission.
- Free-free emission
- Spinning dust emission.
- Thermal dust emission.
- Component separation.
- Large area radio surveys.
- Wide-field optical surveys (e.g. H-alpha).
- HII regions.
